The Dallai A-Type Quick Coupling is available from 60 to 400mm and it is the biggest quick coupling in the world. Available in steel or galvanized Dallai A-Type couplings are used world-wide in applications for waste water, sludge, powder and granular material for irrigation, road construction, water delivery in mines, suction lines, civil projects and dewatering. The cone of deviation is up to 28 degrees with working pressure up to 19 bar. An optional system with double handle and 3 hooks assures an ever better working capacity.

B-Type / F-Type / A-Type - One Size Does Not Fit All

As more brands come into the market there is some confusion being caused out there. We receive a lot of calls from Dealers who are seeking seals for couplings, or seeking replacement parts. We hope the following will throw a light onto some of the issues you are facing and help you to resolve these quickly.

The name "Bauer" is the trademarked name of Bauer the Company, and does not reflect the majority of couplings sold here and overseas. "Bauer-Type couplings" or " Bauer-Compatible couplings" or "B-Type couplings" are common terms used simply to purchase a B-Type Coupling here in Australia. So well entrenched is the trademarked name that many Engineers write their specifications here in Australia still using it as if it is generic. It is a B-Type Coupling. At IB International Pty Ltd we distribute what we believe to be the world's favoured B Type coupling. The B-Type coupling is by far the most popular size coupling here in Australia and these are also prolific overseas. However, they aren't the only size coupling available.

F-Type Couplings and A-Type Couplings are here in Australia. Here at IB International Pty Ltd we import these because you need them. We carry the largest range of suction and discharge quick connect couplings available to you. And here is where the confusion starts.

The seals that fit the B-Type will not fit either the F-Type or the A-Type Couplings. The sizes of these couplings vary by millimetres, but this is enough for them not to be interchangeable with the B Types.

The maximum deviation of cone differs between B-Type Couplings, A-Type Couplings and F-Type Couplings.

These three look similar, but visually you can tell the difference. The pictures here reflect the visual difference between these couplings. Look at the latches. Unfortunately, the differences in size and specifications cannot be viewed visually.

These fittings come in with machinery so it is a good idea not to assume that an imported product is automatically fitted with a B-Type coupling.
